The 30-Day Ramp Files.
Appendix A of the book is a four-week ramp — single tasks, then connected tasks, then your first automation, then your first guardrail. These are the ready-to-use files that go with it: the fire-log template, the saved-prompt format, the weekly checkpoints. Download them, fill them in, do the reps.
Think about what you're pasting. Most AI tools send your input to remote servers, where it can be stored, logged, or used for training. Client names, deal values, employee information, financial records — sanitize before it goes in. Change names, round numbers, strip identifying details. And read your employer's AI policy first: in regulated industries, pasting work data into a public AI tool isn't initiative, it's an incident. The AI doesn't know what's confidential. You do.
The Files
Date | What happened | How I caught it. Log every time the machine gets something wrong. After two weeks, the patterns show up. Each pattern is a future guardrail.
The four parts of a reusable prompt: your context paragraph, the task instructions, the output format, and the checks pulled from your fire log.
The Week 1–4 checkpoints from the ramp, in one place. What you should have done by the end of each week, and what it means if you haven't.
The 30-Day Course
One email a day for 30 days. It's the appendix, paced — so you actually do it instead of just reading it. Day 0 lands in your inbox the moment you sign up.
The course emails are the appendix, paced. Nothing extra, nothing sold.
